Canadian parts maker Magna takes control of Opel and Vauxhall
The German Government is to supply funding of €1.5 billion to help the new Opel/Vauxhall operation to finance the transition. The news hasn’t come a moment too soon, as the US Government had given GM only until Monday to resolve the issue before the likely bankruptcy of GM. The Opel/Vauxhall operation will now be ring-fenced from the insolvency of its former parent in the US and will become ana entity in its own right.
The new Jaguar F-Type has a starring role in the new Burning Desire video from Lana Del Rey, Jaguar’s F-Type ‘Ambassador’. Last summer, as the new Jaguar F-Type stared to garner headlines, Jaguar announced that they were signing up the talented Lana Del Rey to help promote the new F-Type, imbuing their new sports car with a bit of cool in the process. THERE’S good news coming out of Merseyside, as Jaguar Land Rover has announced that its new Discovery Sport model will be built at the firm’s Halewood plant.
